August is here!

3 August 2018

August is here and this weekend is jam packed with FREE entertainment, plus more FREE snow in the forecast.

The Mt Buller Village Stage will again come alive from 2pm Saturday with “Jesse Witney  and The NRG” performing live followed at 4:30pm with the crew from Pelican Villa including DJ’s Hugoe, Ryan Taylor, Heavy Footer, Scotty Pesticide and Moe Aloha. And not forgetting toasty fire pits to stay warm by and marshmallows to roast through until 7:30pm.

Sunday afternoon DJ Sean EG will be spinning some smooth village grooves off the village stage from 4:30pm and again complemented with fire pits and complimentary marshmallows.

Don’t forget on Saturdays and Sundays you can ski, board or take a lesson on Bourke St ski run or go tobogganing in the Village Snowplay Park until 8.30pm, all under lights, with return bus services to our day car parks untill 9:00pm.

Meanwhile the on-snow action this weekend is white-hot including the Junior National Mogul Championships better known as the “J-Nats” on the new Olympic Training Centre mogul course on Chamois ski run and for all the girls who like to send it check out the Yuki Birds Sessions on Saturday as well. While on Sunday Mt Buller hosts the Subaru Victorian Interschool’s Cross Country Championships on Tirol Flats. All details check out the event calendar on the Mt Buller website.

And remember our top tips for a smooth resort entry experience:

  • Buy a resort entry pass online prior to midnight the day before your arrival
  • Print your pass and display on your dashboard, drive straight on up!
  • Arrive at Mt Buller Resort Entry before 10am

With two solid weather systems pushing across South Eastern Australia between now and next Thursday fingers are crossed we will hit the 100cm natural snow depth mark by this time next week. So expect lots of lovely freshies’ across the weekend and later on next week.
