More lifts are opening

21 July 2017

21 July 2017:  This weekend is set to be a ripper with Bull Run, Canyons and Lydia's all coming online for Saturday 22 July.

Fresh snowfalls during the week have boosted the cover and we are now enjoying very good conditions around resort with plenty of new terrain to explore.

There is plenty going in resort to keep you busy all weekend if all this terrain and new lifts isn't enough.

The Burton Cattleman’s Rail Jam will bring the Village to a standstill from Saturday afternoon with a breathtaking show on the rail.

For the 12th consecutive year, Australia’s best snowboarders will do battle on the rail and compete in the country’s longest running snowboarding rail event for a share of  $10,000 worth of cash and prizes.

This year sees some new partners, new awards and new viewing experiences to the Cattleman’s event from Cattleman's Cafe, combined with the same mind-blowing display of snowboarding talent seen for over a decade. This year’s event will once again offer the country’s best up-and-coming riders a chance to prove themselves on Australia’s most famous snowboarding stair-set, with qualifiers taking place throughout the day on the rail itself. Find out more.

Jeremy Jones - HIGHER screening and Q&A

The legendary Jeremy Jones is visiting Mt Buller this weekend and will be sharing his insights in a special one night only Q&A and screening of "Higher" one of his inspiring films showcasing his commitment to 'foot-powered' snowboarding.  Tickets will sell out and are only $30 at the Rip Curl shop in the Village.   Check out all the details and see the trailer here.

Word is Jeremy will be making a cameo on the snow report and is keen to get out for a ride with the locals on Sunday so stay tuned to the Buller Report and Facebook page for updates.
