POWDERMONIUM

19 August 2017

An incredible 72 hours of snowfall has seen Mt Buller covered in in a powdery blanket of fresh, fluffy snow.

Nearly half a metre of fresh snow has fallen since Thursday, and wild, wintery conditions have given way to a cold but mostly clear day, with high cloud and blue skies.

Skiers and boarders were up early to grab the fresh ‘pow’ and the phrase ‘powdermonium’ was heard to be used more than once.

Fast turns through the trees, and steep deep runs across the piste were the order of the day, and snowboarder Lauren Slaverly (pictured) made the most of them!

There’s currently 134cm of snow in snowmaking areas, and condition are described as very good to excellent.

Sunday is forecast to be mostly sunny, so snow lovers will delight in these amazing conditions throughout the resort, with 22/22 lifts set to turn, and snow as far as the eye can see!
