As the Front Office Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the General Manager by acting as the second in command. You will oversee Front Office and club activities, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include planning, organizing, and coordinating the work schedules of the front office team, as well as collaborating with other department heads to maintain seamless operations.
Additionally, the Front Office Manager contributes towards helping the club reach its goals, activating our strategic pillars and ensuring the SCV remains “The Place to be” This may involve liaising and participating within the SCV committee.
Main Responsibilities
Manage hotel/club operations including check-in/check-out, rate loading, invoicing, membership and room inspections.
Drive room revenue in line with budgets through effective utilization of room rates and maximizing occupancy by maintaining an accurate rooms inventory control system.
Exhibit proficiency in accurately handling reservations, managing guest accounts, ensuring that all charges are accurate and posted on a timely basis.
Oversee staffing, rostering, and timesheets, ensuring budget compliance without sacrificing service quality.
Lead, train, and develop the front office team to deliver outstanding customer service.
Maintain strict security procedures with credit and cash transactions, accounting procedures, issue of room keys and guest confidentiality.
Manages continuity throughout the team in relation to all guest correspondents.
Handle guest concerns and resolve issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with other departments such as housekeeping and maintenance to ensure requests are actioned efficiently.
Manage group bookings, with precision and attention to detail to ensure a seamless experience while staying at the SCV.
Completion of invoicing, receipting, bank reconciliation, daily shift balance and managing aged debtors.
Coordinating all aspects of event/function planning with the client, from floor plans, run sheets, menu selection and invoicing.
Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance the SCV experience.
Enhance our unique product by building relationships with members and guests, local businesses, and the community.
Oversee all club operations in absence of the General Manager.
There is also the option for some on-site accommodation at various times, subject to availability. The role will predominantly be based on-site at our SCV premises at Mt Buller, with some off-mountain travel required to ensure the requirements of the role can best be met.
