HOUSEKEEPERS / ROOM ATTENDANTS

We are seeking Housekeepers/Room Attendants responsible for the cleaning and servicing of hotel rooms, apartments and public areas. Successful applicants will have proven experience in a similar role.

HOTEL PENSION GRIMUS is an iconic, award winning, family owned and managed hotel is located directly on the ski slopes of Mt Buller, only a short 3 hour drive from Melbourne. The hotel is located in the heart of the ski village, only a short 50 metres ski to the chairlifts and 100 metres to the ski school. The hotel offers a complete and luxurious experience with comprehensive guest facilities including a licensed restaurant, intimate cocktail bar, guest lounge, free internet access, sauna, spa, plunge pool, ski locker room, drying room, guest laundry, accessory boutique, equipment/clothing hire and service centre.

We are seeking Housekeepers/Room Attendants responsible for the cleaning and servicing of hotel rooms, apartments and public areas. 

Successful applicants will have - 

• Proven experience in a similar role
• Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
• Good communication skills, including a good command of spoken English
• Ability to work under pressure and work within time constraints
• Have good time management skills
• Be reliable, honest, trustworthy and physically fit
• Have an eye for detail
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Complete tasks as directed, efficiently and effectively
• Ability to work individually and in a team

Housekeeper/Room Attendant Duties

• Servicing Rooms & Apartments Daily and staff accommodation areas
• Making beds, vacuuming, dusting
• Cleaning bathrooms & kitchens and replenishing guest supplies
• Laundry - Washing & Drying of bed linen and towels
• Maintaining linen cupboards and housekeeping trolleys
• Changing light globes and cleaning windows
• Sweeping external areas
• Cleaning public areas
• Cleaning elevator/wall surfaces periodically
• Ensuring the safe and effective use of cleaning products and equipment
• Ensuring the correct handling of guest property and lost items
• Responding to special requests and reporting maintenance issues with urgency
• Assisting other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation
