We’re on the hunt for an experienced Sous Chef who’s as passionate about food and creativity as we are! This rare seasonal role offers a chance to help lead our talented kitchen team and help shape a menu that keeps things fresh, fun, and full of flavour.

The Whitt Restaurant located on Mount Buller is a Modern Australian Brasserie serving up some of the best dishes on Mount Buller. Our vision is to deliver Modern Australian Cuisine with a focus on celebrating local producers and culinary adventurers, making our venue The Place to Be!
What You Bring:
- A passion for flavours and creativity in the kitchen.
- A positive, team-focused attitude.
- Organisation and a can-do attitude.
- Experience in running a pass, writing rosters, menu costing, and ordering.
- Demonstrated experience as a Jnr Sous or Sous Chef in premium restaurant is preferred.
- A calm and composed demeanour.
- Experience working in a fast paced environment.
- Outstanding time management during preparation and service periods
- Has a sound and up to date knowledge of food safety & OH&S
- Display exemplary leadership and passion for the industry,
- Full availability, able and willing to work weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
- Understanding of financial budgets, food and labour costs is advantageous
