The VDHS is a five race series dedicated to showcasing Victoria’s premiere downhill MTB riders and putting them to the test on some of the State’s toughest downhill trails. Each event is hosted via a local MTBA (Mountain Biking Australia) affiliated MTB club and supported by the Victorian Downhill Series (VDHS) committee.
The Mt Buller Round will take place on the famed International DH trail, easily the resorts most difficult and a long-time favourite of riders. Practice runs will take place on the Saturday and Sunday morning, with the race event proper beginning late Sunday morning with riders having a single run to place their fastest time down the course.
The International DH course descends over 2 kilometres in length and drops a total elevation change of over 250 metres. It is Mt Buller’s most challenging DH trail, containing numerous rock gardens, timber man-made features, wall rides, step downs and even a road gap so spectators can expect plenty of adrenaline filled action over the weekend.
Competition will see in excess of 200 riders compete.
