Hundreds of Easter bunnies will be hopping up to Mt Buller across the Easter break, as the mountain rolls out a weekend full of events and activities for the whole family. Highlights of the eggs-cellent program include the Mt Buller Mountain High Fun Run, and the much-loved annual RT Edgar Giant Easter Egg Hunt.
Putting the fun back in ‘fun run’, the Mt Buller Mountain High Fun Run, on Easter Saturday 31 March, has a range of courses to suit every level of runner. Families can enjoy a leisurely 3km village circuit, while experienced runners will enjoy the diversity of terrain and stunning scenery on the more challenging 6km and 9km courses. The 14km hill-climb ‘Mountain Madness’, including a 200m ascent to the Mt Buller summit, will test the toughest as they compete for part of the $1900 cash first prize pool. Kids 14 and under enter for free, while the adult entry fee goes toward supporting the invaluable work of the Mansfield District Hospital. Click here to enter.
Early on Easter Sunday 1 April, Easter Bunny will sneak out to cover the resort in tasty chocolate eggs, turning the mountain into one giant Easter Egg Hunt. Kids of all ages are welcome to join in the hunt that starts in the Village Square with live children’s entertainment from 11.00am. It has also been rumoured that Easter Bunny will be making a guest appearance!
Across the Easter weekend families will enjoy a range of activities including free yoga classes, a movie screening, and a ‘run with a local’ guided trail run. The beautiful Mt Buller huskies will be in resort offering sled dogs rides, the Northside Express Chairlift will be operating for mountain biking and sightseeing and all bike and running trails will be open.
