Women’s rides, 100km run and gutsy movies – it’s all in a weekend at Mt Buller!

15 February 2019

Mt Buller will play host to a fantastic weekend of events next Friday 15 – Sunday 17 February.  Delight your tastebuds with local Indigenous chef Zach Green’s pop up dinner at Mirimbah Park; find your zen, get creative and learn some new skills on your bike during the Mind, Body Bike Women’s Festival; or cheer on endurance runners while they tackle the 100km alpine trail run to raise funds and awareness for autism.

Oscars100 Hut 2 Hut

On 15-17 February, Oscars 100 Hut 2 Hut returns to Mt Buller for another year. Runners cover 100km across the Victorian High Country participating in teams of two or as a solo runner, gaining 5300m in elevation. It is both a challenging and rewarding challenge with participants completing the course in between 30-50 hours.

Oscars100 is an organisation committed to improving the lives of children living with autism. By raising funds through the Oscars100 Hut 2 Hut Challenge, the organisation can supply state of the art technology used to help deliver early intervention programs.

Zach Green Pop Up Restaurant in Mirimbah Park

Local Indigenous chef Zach Green has moved back to the High Country after being away for 10 years. Zach Green spent a majority of his time away living in the Northern Territory honing his cooking skills in his food truck, Elijah’s Kitchen. Known for his crocodile laksa and use of native ingredients, Zach tells the history of his people through storytelling and his cooking.

Zach Green and his team from Elijah’s Kitchen are conducting a very special pop-up series titled ‘Finding Home Again’. Revel in an evening under the stars in Mirimbah Park while you enjoy a beautiful Indigenous themed menu with a local wine matching.
