The Role:
As a Sous Chef, you'll play a pivotal role in our culinary operations, collaborating with our Executive Chef to curate and execute delectable menus that tantalize the taste buds of our guests. Your creativity and expertise will shine as you lead a team of passionate culinary professionals in delivering exceptional dining experiences across our resort's various venues.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food cost management
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure seamless operations
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene in accordance with industry regulations
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth among kitchen staff
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume culinary establishment
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative, seasonal dishes using locally sourced ingredients
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of food safety and sanitation
