Jump On a Bike
It's called the Family Trail and it's dead-set fun and accessible for the whole gang. Little ones on training wheels can even join in. Leave plenty of time to make stops, take in the views and share some laughs.
Family Trail
Grade: Easy
Distance: 3km
Riding time: 30 minutes
Gradient: Gentle upwards and downwards slopes.
Fitness: Low endurance, low technical skill.
Description: Follow the green Bike Buller logo stencils on the road from the Clock Tower, along to the end of Goal Post Road where the trail begins. An easy, fun ride for the whole family. Popular with walkers, so always ride at a safe and controlled speed and be courteous to other trail users. Starts at the end of Goal Post Road and finishes at the Arlberg Hotel.
Pump Track
The free pump track is perfect for beginners practicing balance, learning skills and improving confidence on a bike before heading out onto the trails. Advanced downhill riders enjoy a few pump laps too - perfect for finessing those skills and having fun at the beginning or end of the day. Look for the bright orange 'train set' in the village - the pump track is suitable for use by all ages and abilities including kids and can be ridden on any size or type of bike, scooters, roller skates/blades and skateboards.
Rent a bike and learn
No bike? No problem! If you'd like to give mountain biking a go, or didn't bring your own bike you can rent one for the day, join a skills clinic and talk to helpful locals at the bike businesses for their tips. From early December the village offers rental, repairs and expert advice as well as shuttle services. Click here for more bike info
Other activities you'll all enjoy

Come and take a walk with Mt Buller’s little folk! The Mt Buller Gnome Roam takes visitors on a self-guided tour of the mystical gnome world of the mountain Village where they will catch a glimpse of resident Mt Buller gnomes, learn about their favourite places to play as well as some interesting facts about the gnome way of life. Collect a Mt Buller Gnome Roam booklet from Alpine Central to guide you through the walk. The booklet, which makes a fun keepsake, contains an intricately designed map and beautiful photos of Mt Buller gnome folk. Once you’ve completed the Gnome Roam collect your gnome sticker! On your way up the mountain, you can stop in at the Gnome Home for a visit.
